Connect an API key and channel ID in Sermon Importer → Settings. Imports create normal posts in the Sermons category (slug sermons; created if missing) with title, description, thumbnail, and publish date from YouTube. Duplicates are skipped when the sermon video ID meta already exists.

Live stream detection
Gated by Service Times you configure
During configured windows the plugin can refresh live status via YouTube (with caching and guards for finished broadcasts). Outside those windows it does not call YouTube for live checks. Front-end scripts can swap the player when status changes.

Includes the Sermon Archive page template, [calvary_latest_sermon] and [calvary_watch], and read-only REST under ccla-si/v1 for sermons, filters, and live status. Settings cover palettes, scripture links, hero label, comments policy, and more.

How it works
Three steps under Sermon Importer
1. Add your YouTube API key, channel ID, and optional service times.
2. Run a manual import or enable Auto-Import (WP-Cron on the schedule you set).
3. Use the sermon archive template and/or shortcodes so visitors get filters, hero, and watch/live UI.
