Terms of Service
Date of last modification: May 22, 2026
Your use of the software, plugins, and other services provided by WhoKnew™, including but not limited to the WhoKnew Views™, WhoKnew Shield™, WhoKnew Signal™, and WhoKnew Directory SEO™ plugins; plugins and services offered under the Servantly™ brand (servantly.org) for nonprofits, ministries, and low-budget organizations; our proprietary WhoKnew the Future™ AI forecast technology; the WhoKnew Intelligence™ collaborative threat network; and any other tools we make available on whoknew.io, servantly.org, or through authorized resellers (collectively, the “Services”), is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in these WhoKnew™ Terms of Service (“the Agreement”).
Term. By purchasing the Services, you agree to a recurring term of either 1-month or 1-year periods, depending on your selection at checkout. The Agreement begins upon receipt of your initial fee payment and lasts for the chosen period: one month or one year (“Initial Term”). For example, the Pro version of WhoKnew Views™ is available for $14/month on a 1-month term, or $79/year on a 1-year term, saving you over 50%. The Growth plan is $27/month or $149/year, and the Agency plan is $67/month or $399/year, offering additional discounts and site licenses. Your chosen term will be specified during checkout on whoknew.io, WooCommerce Marketplace, or CodeCanyon, etc. The Agreement will automatically renew for successive periods of the same duration (each a “Renewal Term”) unless terminated by either party. The Initial Term and any Renewal Terms are collectively referred to as the “Term.”
Free Trial. WhoKnew™ may, at its discretion, offer a 14-day free trial of WhoKnew Views™ Pro and WhoKnew Shield™ Pro. Trial licenses are issued for one (1) site each and expire 14 days from the date the confirmation email is sent, regardless of whether the plugins were installed or activated. The trial is limited to one per person and one per email address. Attempting to obtain multiple trials via different email addresses or aliases is a violation of this Agreement. To prevent abuse, the IP address associated with each trial signup is logged at the time of submission. Trial licenses are issued without a WhoKnew™ account and do not include ticketed support — community support and the contact page are available for general questions. Upgrading to a paid plan is required to access the Customer Support Portal. WhoKnew™ reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the free trial offer at any time without notice. Submission of a signup form does not guarantee a trial will be issued if the offer has been discontinued.
Installation. When you purchase the WhoKnew Views™ plugin, you can opt for manual or automatic installation. We recommend following the steps outlined on whoknew.io, and included in the plugin setup wizard, for seamless setup. WhoKnew™ is not responsible for complications during installation, such as website downtime or compatibility issues. Ensure your website meets the plugin’s requirements.
Payment & Billing. You will pay WhoKnew™ all fees for the Initial Term as displayed on the checkout page at the time of purchase. Services become available immediately upon payment. For each Renewal Term, you will pay the applicable fees at the time of renewal, which occurs on the expiration date of your previous term, listed as ‘next billing’ in your WhoKnew™ account. For 1-month terms, this renewal occurs monthly (e.g., $14/month for Pro, $27/month for Growth, $67/month for Agency); for 1-year terms, it occurs annually (e.g., $79/year for Pro, $149/year for Growth, $399/year for Agency). Fees must be paid using the payment methods provided on whoknew.io, WooCommerce Marketplace, or CodeCanyon, etc. Your subscription will automatically renew, and we will attempt to collect payment from the payment method on file. If payment fails after multiple attempts, we may cancel your subscription. You will receive a notification two weeks before the Renewal Term payment date, sent to the contact email in your WhoKnew™ account. All fees are non-refundable except as outlined in our Refund Policy. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for initial purchases of most Services.
Pricing. Advertised fees exclude applicable taxes (e.g., VAT), which will be displayed during checkout before you complete your purchase. WhoKnew™ may adjust Service prices from time to time. Price changes for the next payment period will be announced in advance. If a price increase occurs within 14 days of your purchase, you may terminate the Agreement.
Support Services. We provide support for active subscriptions as outlined on whoknew.io. Free users receive community support, while Pro, Growth, and Agency plan users enjoy priority ticketed support via our Customer Service Portal or email at 057f65fe@ad32fa99.com. Support requests require a valid license key and purchase platform details (whoknew.io, WooCommerce Marketplace, or CodeCanyon, etc.). Support is available only for Services with paid, active subscriptions. Trial users do not have access to ticketed support. General inquiries may be submitted via the contact page at whoknew.io/contact/.
Update Services. WhoKnew™ periodically releases updates to the WhoKnew™ plugins and services to enhance functionality, fix bugs, or improve user experience. Updates are available to users with active subscriptions. You can choose manual or automatic updates. For manual updates, we’ll notify you when a new version is available. For automatic updates, you must consent once, after which updates will install automatically. You are responsible for ensuring your website’s compatibility with updates. We encourage feedback on issues to improve future updates. All updates are owned by WhoKnew™ and licensed under the GPL3+.
Unilateral Amendment. WhoKnew™ reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service or alter, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Services at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon publication on whoknew.io.
Termination. You may terminate the Agreement effective at the start of the next Renewal Term by notifying us before the ‘next billing’ date in your WhoKnew™ account. Termination can be initiated through your WhoKnew™ account or Customer Portal. If you qualify as a consumer under applicable law, you may terminate during any Renewal Term with one month’s notice and receive a refund for the remaining term.
Termination by WhoKnew™. We may terminate the Agreement or limit Services without notice if:
- You fail to pay fees due;
- You violate the Agreement’s terms;
- Your website contains explicit or offensive content;
- You are abusive toward WhoKnew™ staff;
- You make unreasonable demands beyond the Agreement’s scope;
- For any lawful reason, including compliance with applicable law.
In such cases, no refunds will be issued for fees paid, and you remain liable for fees accrued before termination.
Discounts. Discounts are offered at WhoKnew’s™ discretion, such as the current 50% savings on annual plans. No rights to future discounts can be derived from previous offers.
No Personal Data. You agree not to share personal data with WhoKnew™ beyond what is outlined in our Privacy Policy. If you do, you will indemnify WhoKnew™ for all costs and damages related to processing and removal, including fines and secure deletion costs. Notwithstanding the above, WhoKnew™ logs the IP address submitted with free trial signup forms solely for abuse prevention purposes. This data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Third-Party Data Sources. Certain WhoKnew™ Services, including WhoKnew Intelligence™, incorporate data from established third-party threat intelligence providers, including The Spamhaus Project, alongside anonymized contributions submitted by independent sites participating in the WhoKnew Shield™ Pro network. The balance between third-party and community-sourced data will shift over time as the Shield™ Pro network grows. WhoKnew™ does not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any third-party data and accepts no liability for decisions made in reliance upon it. For full data source information, see our Privacy Policy.
WhoKnew Intelligence™ Network. WhoKnew Intelligence™ is a collaborative threat network owned and operated by WhoKnew™. By activating WhoKnew Intelligence™ as part of WhoKnew Shield™ Pro, you agree to automatically contribute anonymized hostile IP addresses detected on your site back to the shared network. This contribution is a condition of accessing the community blocklist — you cannot consume the shared threat data without also contributing to it. No personally identifiable information about your visitors is collected or shared; only IP addresses identified as hostile are contributed. Users who prefer not to participate may disable WhoKnew Intelligence™ entirely via the plugin settings, which will disable both contribution and access to the shared blocklist.
Limitation of Liability. Except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence, WhoKnew™ is not liable for damages related to the Services, including data loss, operational failures, lost revenue, or missed profits.
Governing Law. This Agreement is governed by U.S. law, with disputes to be resolved in the courts of the state where WhoKnew™ is headquartered (USA), as the company is built in the USA.

The free version offers real-time tracking, basic styling, and positioning options. Pro, Growth, and Agency plans include advanced features like number padding, algorithmic variations, per-product presets, and enhanced styling. The Growth plan supports 3 site licenses, and the Agency plan supports 10. A valid license key is required to access paid features, validated through whoknew.io, WooCommerce Marketplace, or CodeCanyon, etc. By using the plugin, you agree to comply with WooCommerce’s terms and conditions, as the plugin integrates with their platform.
Additional Terms for WhoKnew Shield™. The WhoKnew Shield™ plugin provides contact obfuscation, scraper detection, and threat intelligence for WordPress sites. The free version offers basic contact obfuscation and scraper detection. Pro includes military-grade dual-layer encryption, Scraper Trap™ honeypots, and access to the WhoKnew Intelligence™ community blocklist. A valid license key is required to access Pro features, validated through whoknew.io. By using WhoKnew Shield™ Pro with WhoKnew Intelligence™ enabled, you agree to the contribution terms outlined in the WhoKnew Intelligence™ Network section above.
Additional Terms for WhoKnew Directory SEO™. WhoKnew Directory SEO™ is a WordPress plugin that provides keyword ranking analysis and readme optimization for plugins listed in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory. All ranking analysis, readme scoring, and keyword research are performed exclusively on whoknew.io’s servers — no analysis occurs locally within the plugin. The plugin operates as a frontend client for the whoknew.io ranking service and requires an active internet connection to that service to perform any scan or analysis.
API Credits. Usage of the whoknew.io ranking service is metered in API credits. The free service tier includes 10 credits per month per site (identified by root domain). Each keyword scan or readme analysis consumes one credit, reflecting real server-side processing performed on whoknew.io’s servers. Credits reset at the start of each calendar month and do not roll over. Paid plan tiers (Pro, Growth, Studio, Agency) include higher monthly credit allocations as described on the pricing page at whoknew.io. Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value.
Acceptable Use. You may not use WhoKnew Directory SEO™ to perform automated, bulk, or abusive scanning. Requests that exceed reasonable usage patterns may be rate-limited or suspended without notice. The service is intended for individual plugin authors and developers conducting legitimate keyword research and competitive analysis.
Service Availability. The whoknew.io ranking service depends on the availability of the public WordPress.org Plugin Directory API. WhoKnew™ is not responsible for degraded performance caused by disruptions to the WordPress.org API.
Additional Terms for WhoKnew Signal™. WhoKnew Signal™ provides self-hosted web push notifications for WordPress. Subscriber endpoints and related subscription metadata are stored only in your WordPress database on your server. WhoKnew™ does not receive, store, or process your subscribers’ push data for delivery, analytics, or campaign sending. When you send a notification, your server delivers it directly to each subscriber’s browser push service (e.g., Google for Chrome, Mozilla for Firefox, Apple for Safari) using the open Web Push (VAPID) standard.
License and tiers. The free version is subject to the subscriber limits and features described on whoknew.io and in the plugin readme. WhoKnew Signal™ Pro requires a valid license key validated through whoknew.io, WooCommerce Marketplace, or other authorized channels, consistent with other WhoKnew™ Pro products.
Your responsibilities. You are solely responsible for lawful use of push notifications on your site, including obtaining any consent required in your jurisdiction, maintaining an accurate privacy policy for your visitors, and honoring unsubscribe or permission changes made in visitors’ browsers. WhoKnew™ provides suggested privacy policy language in the plugin for your convenience; you remain responsible for how you use it on your site.
Delivery and platform limitations. WhoKnew™ does not guarantee delivery, display, click-through rates, or timing of notifications. Delivery depends on browser permissions, device state, operating system rules (including iOS requirements for installed web apps), third-party push services, and subscriber connectivity. WhoKnew™ is not responsible for outages, policy changes, or failures of third-party push services operated by browser vendors.
Third-party services. Push delivery relies on third-party browser push infrastructure operated by browser vendors. WhoKnew™ has no control over those services and is not liable for their availability, policies, or actions.
GNU General Public License. WhoKnew™ plugins are licensed under the GPL3+. Per section 7 of the GPL, the following apply to any Services under this license:
- You may not misrepresent the origin of the material or require modified versions to be marked differently;
- You are restricted from using licensor or author names for publicity;
- No rights are granted under trademark law for WhoKnew™ trade names or marks;
- You must indemnify licensors and authors for liabilities arising from your use of the material.
